About Us

We have a passion for musical theatre, and know of many others in the community who do too.  There are several youth musical theatre programs in Chilliwack, which provide wonderful training and experience to school-aged youth. However, in recent years, there has been no musical theatre outlet for adults in the community. We'd like to bring that back!

Mission Statement

Secondary Characters is a theatre company purely devoted to musicals, for artists of all ages, and explores all efforts to present imaginative, passionate, and inspiring productions in our community.

Goals

* Support and encourage the creative development of youth and adult artists and production members.

* Bring together established and emerging theatre artists of all disciplines.

* Promote theatre as an enjoyable and rewarding experience for participants and audience.

* Produce professional quality musical theatre productions.

* Enhance the long-term growth and stability of the company.

* Build a working relationship with other local theatre companies.

As Artistic Directors of Secondary Characters, Shelley Wojcik and Nicola Davies have experience in many areas of theatrical production; Shelley as an actor, dancer, singer, director and choreographer and Nicola as a singer, pianist, orchestra conductor, musical director, and producer. The diverse experiences they bring from their work with other companies and artists is fundamental to Secondary Characters development.
